To support us on this journey, we are seeking a dedicated Senior People Operations Specialist to join our international team based in Berlin. This role is essential for managing complex HR operational matters globally while providing leadership and guidance to our team handling operations particularly in Germany and Switzerland. As a key partner to the Team Lead, you'll be constantly learning and facing new challenges daily, enabling you to enhance your expertise across diverse areas of interest! Up for the challenge? You will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees within your scope, overseeing HR processes throughout their lifecycle, while offering comprehensive operational HR advice.
- Provide advisory support and guidance to junior team members, fostering seamless collaboration and operational efficiency, while closely collaborating with stakeholders within the People Team to ensure an exceptional employee experience in alignment with GetYourGuide's People strategy.
- Lead and manage complex operational HR matters, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals, while acting as a strategic partner to the Team Lead in project ownership and execution of key initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence in People Services by ensuring efficient, sustainable, and user-friendly end-to-end processes.
- Manage and oversee data in our HR system, Workday, and lead initiatives to enhance processes within the tool.
- Oversee and manage the working students, ensuring their integration and development within the team, while maximizing their contribution to operational goals.
Who you are
- You possess a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or in a related field.
- You bring at least 4-5 years of experience in People Operations (HR) within a dynamic, international and fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in German, both spoken and written.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are considered a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of German labor law and collaboration with external lawyers; familiarity with HR topics and labor laws in EMEA and/or APAC is considered advantageous.
- Experience with HRIS (preferably Workday), Jira (Service Desk) and GSuite.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: A people-oriented individual who understands employee needs and can effectively guide diverse stakeholders.
- You are able to manage priorities among multiple stakeholders and reprioritize as needed in a high-velocity environment.
