Your Role at MediaLab
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Senior People Business Partner to join our lean yet passionate People team. As MediaLab’s Senior People Business Partner, you will elevate every element of the employee experience, driving enhancements and new opportunities for greater connectivity across our entire portfolio of brands. You will entrench yourself in the business, building credibility with executive stakeholders, resolving immediate issues and forecasting future needs of our growing organization. By leveraging past generalist experience, you will help design, implement and optimize key processes that enable MediaLab to scale rapidly and support its employees. acting as a
change-agent to elevate the existing culture.
This role is hybrid with an expectation to work in the office (LA) a few days a week.
What You'll Do
- Advise and influence all client groups on a broad range of topics including engagement and retention, feedback and coaching, compensation planning and organizational design.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and governance of MediaLab’s career pathing including refreshed role descriptions, job architecture framework and supplemental training.
- Own MediaLab’s compensation philosophy, continuously evaluating market data and rollout of new features within our compensation tool, PAVE.
- Develop and execute a fresh, comprehensive onboarding experience for new employees across all functions and locations of the company’s diverse hiring landscape.
- Manage all employee records maintaining strong data integrity within our HRIS and provide timely completion of essential compliance reporting, internal reporting needs and all other related requests.
- Own both existing and future immigration requirements for our dispersed workforce.
- Support ongoing HR programs and processes (performance management, talent reviews, etc.) to ensure the desired objectives and outcomes are reached.
- Partner with HR leadership to manage all employee relations issues and implement prompt, decisive solutions.
What We're Searching For
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Human Resources with at least three (3) of those years operating as a strategic partner to a large client group.
- An innovative mindset with tolerance for ambiguity.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clear and effective HR voice that does not waver in tough situations.
- Strong operational rigor and experience in process improvement.
- Prior experience with Paylocity (HRIS) and compensation tools such as PAVE or Radford is required.
- SHRM or PHR certification is desired but not required.
