About the RoleWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator with a specialization in Exadata to join our expanding team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for expanding our squad's capabilities to support the growth of our time-sensitive core financial services.
Working hand-in-hand with the squad, you'll provide critical guidance and oversight as we design, develop, test, and maintain the high-quality databases, tools, and projects that are essential to delivering our vital financial services.

What to expect ?

In this role, you'll be responsible for expanding our squad's capabilities to support the growth of our time-sensitive core financial services.

Working hand-in-hand with the squad, you'll provide critical guidance and oversight as we design, develop, test, and maintain the high-quality databases, tools, and projects that are essential to delivering our vital financial services.

The following are dailies responsibilities for the role:

  • Exadata Administration:

    • Manage and maintain Exadata Cloud@Customer (ExaCC) environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.

  • Database Management:

    • Administer Oracle RAC databases in a high-availability & time-critical high environment.

    • Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies for ExaCC databases.

    • Conduct regular database health checks and implement proactive measures.

  • Patch Management:

    • Plan and implement Oracle Database and ExaCC patching and upgrades.

  • Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce security policies and access controls for ExaCC databases.

    • Ensure databases align with industry standards and regulations.

  • Automation and Scripting:

    • Seeing opportunities for toil elimination and maintaining continuous improvement mentality.

    • Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine database tasks and monitoring.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with multi-functional teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and application developers, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

  • Documentation:

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all aspects of ExaCC database administration.

What will make you successful?

We are seeking professionals with:

  • Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle DBA: 19c & 23ai versions

  • Proficient in Oracle Cloud Control and Oracle Unified Directory

  • Proficient in Oracle RAC (real application cluster) and ExaCC

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Replication of database using DataGuard

  • Has good experience with Ansible and Terraform

  • Problem solving attitude towards technical issues
