We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing backend systems, executing complex data migrations, and leading a small team. This role requires a deep understanding of Oracle databases, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Architecture: Develop and implement robust backend systems and database architectures to support business applications.
- Data Migration: Plan and execute complex data migrations, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Database Management: Perform regular database maintenance, monitoring, and tuning to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior DBAs, with the potential to lead a small team in the future.
- Security: Implement and maintain database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly to minimize impact on business operations.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of database systems.
Key Skills:
- Database Design and Architecture: Designing and implementing robust database architectures. Understanding of Oracle database internals and architecture.
- Performance Tuning: Optimizing database performance. Using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and tuning.
- Backup and Recovery: Implementing backup strategies using RMAN (Recovery Manager). Performing database recovery in case of failures.
- Security Management: Implementing database security measures. Managing user roles and permissions.
- Data Migration: Planning and executing complex data migrations. Ensuring data integrity during migrations.
- High Availability: Configuring and managing Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters). Implementing Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.
- Automation and Scripting: Writing scripts for database automation tasks. Using PL/SQL for database programming.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving database issues. Using diagnostic tools and logs for problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12-15 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Proven track record in designing backend systems and executing complex data migrations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead a small team.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and security.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM.
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions.
- Familiarity with other database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Oracle Database 19c Administrator Certified Professional
- Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate
