Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and develop an organization to ensure the implementation of HSSE strategies to improve HSSE management and achieve HSSE objectives and targets.
  • Ensure implementation and operations of responsible organization comply with the applicable local HSSE legal requirements and corporate/ regional standards and requirements.
  • Perform ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 internal audit, follow up the 3rd party audit and customer audit; Ensure HSSEQ management system work effectively.
  • Facilitate HSSE risk assessment to identify potential risks then drive the implementation of improvement actions. Ensure the communication of risk assessment and preventive actions to employees.
  • Supervise and continually search for improvements for to protect people from injury, the environment from damage, the business from unnecessary losses.
  • Facilitate accident investigation with involvement of supervisor of injurer, witness and related technical functions. Analyze accident/ incidents related both Health & Safety and Security, near miss and concerns, implement action plan to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Monitor compliance with HSSE related laws and legislation and keep up to date with any changes, inform manager on the impact of these changes and responsibilities and advise the site management by providing proposals.
  • Involve in sustainability and carbon emission reduction.
  • Continuously improve employees’ safety and security awareness, deliver safety and security training to employee.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of national and local Environmental, Health and Safety laws, regulations and related policies.
  • At least 3 years working experience as HSSE specialist and chemical/manufacturing/logistics industry experience preferred.
  • Passion for operation excellence, never give up mindset and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under multi-culture, dynamic, stressful environment.
  • Strong analysis abilities, positive attitude to change, must be result oriented.
  • Able to show good communication and influence cross function team members in all levels of an organization.
  • Organizational skills to accurately extract, interpret, and display data. Presentation skills to concisely update management on key initiatives and results.
  • WHS management experience background preferred.
  • Experienced in ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and standardization.
  • Fluent English and native level for Japanese with effective communication skills, competent in MS Excel and PowerPoint usage
  • Class-1 or 2 health officer’s license, Fire prevention manager license or Certified first aid course are preferred.
