As a Senior Operations Accounting Analyst, Cleveland, you will have ownership of all things operations accounting and cost management for the Cleveland, OH Industrial Segment manufacturing site. You will also support ad hoc requests related to Supply Chain and Operations for the Automotive OEM coatings business. You will report to the Operations Accounting Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations
- Evaluate account reconciliations to identify trends and ensure accuracy of the account balances.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis to service manufacturing and business leadership.
- Help facilitate and perform re-costing and analyze results to understand real-time cost changes.
- Support the plant manager and the leadership team with understanding results, proactive cost actions, capital investment analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks.
- Oversee inventory accounting and physical inventory financial practices for the plant and nearby warehouse.
- Help with SOX audit compliance and other issues raised by internal and external audit.
- Support the Finance Director, Automotive OEM Americas, with explanation of results and other requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field with 4+ years of experience.
- Outstanding Excel knowledge required.
- Strong communication and leadership skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Oracle and costing experience, preferred.
- Quarterly travel to Cleveland, OH.
