Senior Network Engineer

Amentum is now hiring for a Senior Network Engineer in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and evaluate new and existing computer network systems and services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet, providing analytical, technical, and administrative support.

• Plan, oversee, develop, and implement network policies and procedures and ensure network integrity as maintenance and modification projects to existing applications are undertaken.

• Troubleshoot network issues. Install and upgrade network equipment and software.

• Create and maintain documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

• Establish and document network technical support processes and procedures.

• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications.

• Establish voice and network standards regarding new technologies and applications.

• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.

• Act as technical liaison between clients, customers, and vendors resolve issues as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree.

• (1 position) CCNP, CCNA Security; Routing and Switching; Voice certification and SECRET required

• (1 position) CompTIA Security+ certification and SECRET required

• (1 position) CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Network Professional and TS/SCI required

• (1 position) Cisco Routers and Switches, Ethical Hacking certification and SECRET required

• Minimum of 9 years’ experience.  Will accept 5 years of additional experience in lieu of degree. (all 4 positions)

• Must have an Active SECRET or TOP SECRET/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET and TOP SECRET/SCI Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting C5ISR DEVCOM programs.
