Position Summary

Bring our games to life by creating eye-catching visual effects and animations for Casino Electronic Table Games. Work with a group of exceptionally talented artists and animators creating animations that complement and enhance the Table Game player’s experience. The ability to work quickly and efficiently as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure is crucial. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Work directly with the art director and or artist to conceptualize and create compelling 2D/3D animations, visual effects, and motion graphics for game logos, symbols, backgrounds, and features. 

  • Create previsualizations of VFX and animations

  • Work closely with the software engineer and development team to prepare final animations in formats necessary for integration into the game. 

  • Communicate with the game designer and development team in an iterative development process. 

  • Maintain well-organized working files to facilitate file sharing and collaborative work. 

  • Archive all final working files for future use using version control software. 

  • Understand and resolve technical issues relating to graphics (e.g., rendering, streaming, memory management, playback performance, etc.). 

Qualifications

Training and/or Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in 2D/3D animation and/or motion graphic design- exceptions are made with a high caliber portfolio and eloquence that demonstrates senior level knowledge and maturity

  • Prior gaming industry experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Enjoy working in a creative environment 

  • Have a strong sense of design, motion, and timing 

  • Have a strong sense of storyboarding for 2D/3D animation

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment 

  • Interact and collaborate with immediate team, as well as junior and senior colleagues 

  • Ability to receive art direction and provide multiple design solutions 

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies 

  • Proficient in Adobe After Effects, Unity, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator 

  • Proficiency in 3D animation and modeling is a plus (Blender, Maya, and or 3D Studio Max) 

  • Proficiency in compositing and rotoscoping a plus 

  • Familiarity with Unity a plus (especially implementing animation and VFX as well as creating VFX in unity) 

  • Ability to draw and concept character, props, environment a plus

  • Familiarity with shaders and shader creation/coding a plus 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
