Job Description
On a daily basis, Sr. Motion Designers will be involved in the creative, financial, technological, supervisory, and administrative processes of a production from inception to completion. Sr. Motion Designers communicate daily with the Production, client services, and creative teams, help to manage timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience as a Motion Designer in an Interactive, Video, and / or Motion Graphics related field.
- Detail-focused, organized, and a creative problem solver
- Clear understanding and knowledge of the Motion Design, and Video Production process from concept to completion.
- Understanding of Industry processes and workflows including: VFX, live action integration, camera and object tracking, rotoscope, and 3D compositing.
- Experience animation computer and/or mobile UI
- Experience compositing 3D render passes, preferably consumer electronics
- Strong understanding of After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite latest releases, and Cinema 4D as a bonus
- Strong understanding of relevant plugins: Trapcode Suite, Plexus, Magic Bullet Suite.
Job Specific:
- Work closely with internal and external teams to manage Video and Motion Graphic projects effectively
- Responsible for the initial introduction and presentation of Video and Motion Graphics services to internal and external teams.
- Managing internal relationships on production-related issues, as well as managing client needs and expectations.
- Managing staff, including assigning individual responsibilities and setting deadlines and deliverables.
- Managing production schedules and logistics along with pm and project team
Management/ Leadership:
- Demonstrates excellent communication, team building, leadership and operational management skills.
- Facilitates technical workgroup meetings.
- Has successfully lead/mentored small production teams on small/medium sized projects and has owned subsystems within a medium-to-large projects.
- Serves as a mentor to new and/or current employee(s); assists with employee on-boarding/training.
