We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Expert to join one of our airport projects in KSA. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role who can handle the responsibility of overseeing the design and supervision and supporting airport projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design review and management of Baggage Handling Systems from inception to commissioning.
- Review the design and supervision of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems, ensuring alignment with international and local codes and project requirements.
- Review, and evaluate mechanical calculations for HVAC, FLS and Plumbing disciplines.
- Conduct project design reviews of MEP systems from the concept design phase through construction and tender phases.
- Review and approve material submittals, ensuring they align with project specifications and adhere to delivery timelines.
- Supervise mechanical construction activities, monitoring the progress and quality of work.
- Reviewing contractors and consultant’s prequalification requirements as well as supplier’s performance for Mechanical related items.
- Reviewing the contractor's communication pertaining to topics such as change orders, agreed-upon variation values, timeline extensions, and claims, and offering essential counsel to the project manager concerning these matters.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the aviation industry.
- Demonstrated experience in design, technical evaluation, project management, erection, commissioning, and integration of Baggage Handling Systems.
- Substantial experience in the design and supervision of HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
- Exceptional project management and leadership skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in using modern engineering software and tools.
