You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, electrical engineers, and industrial designers, to create high-performance and reliable robotic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of mechanical systems and components for AI robots.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to evaluate design concepts and performance.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Work closely with vendors to design and develop different modules
• Perform prototype fabrication, testing, and validation to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the robotics or automation industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation tools.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects from concept to production.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ready for high pace at fast-growing startup.
• Must work on-site at our office in the California Bay Area.
• Must have and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in the robotics or automation industry.
• Experience with robotics, automation, or mechatronics.
• Familiarity with actuators, sensors and control systems.
• Experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in robotics.
• Experience with global supply chain and manufacturing process.
