Senior Mechanical Engineer (Clean Room Design)

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in Clean Room design to join our growing Industrial-Medical team in Peachtree Corners, GA. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of related MEP design engineering experience (preferably in Clean Room design) and wants to grow, collaborate, and innovate. In this position, the successful candidate will take leadership in the design of mechanical systems (including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing and piping) while mentoring junior/mid-level engineering professionals and supporting proposal efforts. Design projects will span across multiple markets and geographies affording opportunities for broadening knowledge and deepening skill sets related to building systems design. We are seeking someone who can be an independent self-starter and can move quickly and efficiently through a variety of design stages ranging from concept plans to construction documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university
• 10+ years of related MEP experience
• Experience with ASHRAE Laboratory Design
• Experience with BSSL2, BSL3, BSL3-Ag, BSL4, or ABSL
• Experience with Clean Room design
• Proficient with relevant software such as Revit, AutoCAD and BIM
• Experience mentoring and training employees
• Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts and interfacing with clients
• PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred with plans on obtaining PE license in near future
• Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high-quality work
• Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally
• Ability to travel 25%

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a salary range of $117,400.00 - $189,500.00 .
