Main Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates and performs plastic materials engineering work for a complete product or project of broad scope. Operates in a team environment, both within factories and with suppliers, acting as a technical lead person. Provides leadership within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Order Fulfillment Process (OFP), etc., projects primarily for utility tractors and serve as the regional expert for A&T and C&F. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work to other engineers and support personnel. Provides technical consultation and a knowledge base. Recognized as an expert within a unit/Division for polymers. This role involves interaction with various functional areas such as PV&V, Supply Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production to ensure correct project implementation.
  • Provide technical support in new plastic applications for design, process, material, prototyping, FEA (structural & mold filling), material & component testing, tooling, and supplier selection.
  • Address quality issues related to design and manufacturing
  • Make design decisions regarding manufacturability, material specifications, application requirements, geometries, and engineering specs.
  • Support operations with product design-related issues.
  • Coordinate prototype sourcing and material or process selection and participate in testing.
  • Support cost reduction projects and new product programs.
  • Manage tests and evaluation procedures for new materials/process selection, specifications, and testing.
  • Evaluate new and advanced materials and processes strategies for regional use.


What Skills You Need

  • 5+ years of experience in plastics materials and manufacturing process engineering.
  • Broad experience in plastics and composite materials, processes, manufacturing, tooling, design, analysis, and testing.
  • Experience with application and materials engineering of plastics/composites in product design for various industries (agricultural, industrial, automotive , etc.).
  • Conducting material testing and evaluation for design, testing, simulation, and quality failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with product design, CAD, drawings, geometric tolerancing, and quality systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong English skills (speaking and writing).
  • Presentation and communication skills.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and innovative.

Education
**Required**: Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Materials or Mechanical Engineering with a Plastics focus, or equivalent experience.
