Sourcebooks, the sixth largest publisher in the US, is searching for a dynamic and creative Senior Marketing & Publicity Associate to join our powerhouse Callisto team!
Working within the Sourcebooks marketing and publicity team, and alongside the Senior Director of Marketing, you'll lead the charge in crafting impactful publicity and marketing campaigns across a wide range of genres, including biography, personal finance, cooking, health & wellness, relationships & personal growth, and more. You'll play a pivotal role in launching titles that educate, inspire, and entertain. This is an exciting opportunity to drive success for an impactful, data-centric, consumer-led publishing program.
We’re looking for individuals who will be champions for Callisto’s books and authors and can see the bigger picture in terms of understanding reader needs and how books deliver content that serves consumer demand.
The salary range for this role is $45K - $55K. This position can be hybrid in Naperville or NYC, or fully remote in the following states ONLY: AZ, CT, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, NV, OR, PA, TN, TX, WA, AND WI.
As a Senior Marketing & Publicity Associate, you’ll have the chance to:
- Drive media coverage for books in prescriptive and narrative nonfiction.
- Leverage the power of social media, using TikTok and Instagram trends to engage online communities and create excitement around our titles.
- Execute high impact author events for key titles
- Create engaging content for Callisto’s social media, including the development of creative campaigns that drive sales and awareness for titles.
- Partner with the digital team on email marketing, advertising, and paid social campaigns.
- Communicate efforts, accomplishments, and execution of publicity & marketing program to authors.
- Communicate weekly/monthly top-level activities and results to sales department
- Present marketing and publicity plans at Sales Conference
Required Skills/Education:
- Excellent writing, content creation, and communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or publicity.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and work flexibly and quickly.
- A willingness to experiment, pursue new ideas, and ways of working.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to department and corporate goals.
- Familiarity with TikTok and Instagram trends, and a keen awareness of the online audience landscape.
