The position
As Senior Manager, you oversee a team of up to 10 members and report to the Director, while also being part of the department management alongside four other managers. Your team of supply managers is responsible for managing and optimizing the global network of component suppliers and for setting up supply chains with new suppliers.
The team operates with a high degree of independence, and you will be responsible for both delivering through your team and for individual contributions of significant strategic and tactical importance.
Your key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivating a culture that prioritises employee well-being, ongoing development, and innovation within your team and related organizational departments
  • Driving efforts to optimise processes, reduce costs, and enhance agility in the way we work with our suppliers
  • Engaging actively with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strong collaboration and driving change management initiative
  • Taking ownership of and improving our standards for supplier interactions
  • Representing the department in various fora, steering groups, and management business reviews with some suppliers


You will be working in a culture ready to challenge systems, processes, and ensure ongoing optimisation by being a highly visible manager who provides sparring and coaching to your employees.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe you:

  • Hold a master's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or another relevant field
  • Demonstrate a strong track record in managing CMOs or supplier operations, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Showcase proven leadership experience, ideally in managing other people managers
  • Have a good understanding of processes and concerns along up- and downstream supply chain management, along with expertise in change management
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English


On a personal level, you are empathic leader with strong communication skills, making it easy for you to build trustful relations with your team members and bridging cultural and organisational distances in a complex stakeholder landscape. You enjoy being the one people seek for direction, and you have the leadership skills and the passion to motivate and energise the people around you. Lastly, you thrive with establishing and continuously developing our collaboration model with the suppliers and have an eye for the critical detail.
About the department
You will join the Supply Chain department, which is part of the GCMD area, comprising a team of approx. 250 colleagues located in Hillerød and in Hjørring. We ensure the supply of a large number of components produced by our world-wide suppliers as well as internal production to our global footprint of Novo Nordisk factories.
We are responsible for deliveries to world-wide customers in Finished Product Manufacturing sites where assembly of devices is conducted. Our priorities are to run efficient operations at our suppliers, meet our customer demands every day, while diligently working to drive costs down and being agile.
