About the Role & Team
The position of Sr. Manager of Technology will be responsible for the team and portfolio within the Cloud Infrastructure and Datastore Architecture area . T his includes standards, best practices, design and delivery of platforms that support the entire Disney Experiences organization . If selected for this role, you will report to the Director of Technology , Solution Architecture.
What You Will Do
The position will include the following duties & accountabilities:

  • Lead teams in the design and delivery of infrastructure , datastore, and messaging solutions that are highly resilient and secure, while enabling efficien cy across the Disney Experiences organization.
  • Drive on-time on-budget delivery on an incredibly diverse portfolio using agile methodologies, with heavy emphasis on an iterative approach resulting in world class solutions.
  • Team & Talent Management of Cast (Disney Employee) and Contractors within the Team . Maintain a supportive , collaborative and constructive environment for growing high performing Individuals and Team .
  • Financial Ownership of the allocated Budget for the Portfolio . Including managing forecasts, actuals, and variances .
  • Stakeholder Management across Technology, Product , and Business . Establish and maintain relationships, with clear expectation management . Understand challenges and proactively collaborate to resolve .
  • Opportunity Management to identify how our portfolio can deliver on or contribute to solutions to better serve our partner teams, and ultimately, our Cast and Guests .
  • Project Management of technology delivery for work efforts, ensuring reliability in delivery activities, dates and resource planning.
  • Communication & knowledge sharing of portfolio capability at all levels of the organization . Effective communication with diverse audiences in a technical and non-technical manner.
  • Drive improvements to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team .


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 10 years of relevant, progressive experience in Technical Design, Delivery, Operations and Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure Engineering Management and Software Engineering Financial Management
  • Executive Written & Verbal Communication Skills
  • E xperience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components.
  • Experience in organizations practicing Agile best practices.
  • Strong partner and communicator with ability to articulate the team vision and technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to take decisions in ambiguous situations and a fast paced environment with constantly changing business needs.
  • Excellent motivator driving influence and high throughput from the team.
  • Passionate about engineering best practices and leading by example.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study and/or equivalent work experience
