The Role
Talent Acquisition is a strategic function that enhances Block's purpose of economic empowerment by hiring values-aligned and inclusive teams across the world. As a Senior Manager of Technical Recruiting, you will guide the recruitment strategy and lead a global recruiting team to enable our engineering team's growth.
You Will

  • Drive success of the team through managing prioritization, delegation, and accountability
  • Lead and mentor a global team of engineering recruiters
  • Advance and promote strong relationships with cross-functional leaders, influencing stakeholders to drive organizational outcomes
  • Be a consultative advisor to the business and create recruiting strategies that drive our efforts to build inclusive and diverse teams of engineers
  • Leverage data to evaluate and optimize current hiring processes for operational efficiency
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive environment; encouraging collaboration and open communication


You Have

  • 10+ years of recruiting experience including 4+ in a technical recruiting management role
  • Experience leading and empowering a technical talent organization with an emphasis on building high performing teams and inclusive cultures
  • Experience leading teams in a remote or hybrid environment; global recruitment experience is a plus
  • A proven ability to lead through influence and uplift the productivity of others around you
  • A perspective on and deep belief of the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion across all facets of the hiring and recruitment process
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making that leads to increased operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders across technical organizations to accomplish business objectives
  • Consultative communication skills while working with internal and external stakeholders
  • A positive and team oriented approach to your work
