Who You Are:
The Senior Talent Acquisition Manager for Japan is a leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of full-cycle recruitment, employer branding, and recruitment marketing in collaboration with headquarters. This role entails leading the establishment of a shared service model while managing and guiding a team to ensure recruitment excellence in Japan.
What You’ll Do:
- Spearhead the creation and implementation of a recruitment shared service model in partnership with Senior Director, Talent Acquisition to streamline processes and optimize efficiency.
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies tailored to Japan.
- Lead all phases of the recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation, to attract top-tier talent.
- Collaborate closely with headquarters to align global recruitment initiatives and ensure brand consistency.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice in Japan.
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment marketing campaigns to attract diverse talent pools.
- Manage and mentor a team of recruiters, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders to support recruitment efforts.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in talent acquisition to maintain a competitive edge.
- Strategize and implement initiatives aimed at reducing reliance on external agencies for talent acquisition, resulting in cost savings.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive talent database to proactively source, engage, and nurture candidates for current and future hiring needs, reducing time-to-fill and improving recruitment efficiency.
- Implement targeted sourcing strategies, including direct sourcing, networking, and talent pipelining, to build a robust pool of qualified candidates and decrease dependency on external agencies.
- Foster internal talent mobility and employee referrals programs to tap into existing talent pools and reduce the need for external agency assistance, while promoting a culture of internal growth and development.
- Implement candidate-centric practices and initiatives in line with global standards and best practices, enhancing the overall recruitment experience and reflecting the organization's commitment to candidate satisfaction.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at headquarters to leverage resources, expertise, and technology in enhancing the candidate journey, from application to onboarding, fostering positive interactions, and lasting impressions.
You’ll Need to Have:
Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-7 years of related experience conducting best in class, quality focused, full life cycle recruiting within a fast paced, results-driven environment.
- Experience with creating or managing a shared service recruitment model.
- Management experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
We’d Love to See:
- Agency or Search firm direct recruiting experience, ideally combined with exposure to an in-house recruiting environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think strategically and conceptually while managing details.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, but a strong team player.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
