We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager, Strategic Finance – Growth Marketing and Customer Insights to play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our portfolio of leading next generation apparel brands. This position is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on tackling complex business challenges with curiosity and tenacity. The ideal candidate will deliver timely, accurate, and actionable business intelligence to senior leaders and collaborate closely across finance, marketing, and merchandising teams.

This is a hands-on role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by leveraging data-driven insights to optimize decision-making and drive business outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Manage long-range, annual, and monthly budgeting and forecasting processes with a focus on top-line performance and marketing investments.

  • Collaboration with Business Leaders:
  • Partner closely with senior marketing and merchandising leaders to develop, understand, and track execution plans against key goals. Provide strategic recommendations and oversight.

  • Data-Driven Insights:
  • Analyze marketing attribution models and key metrics such as Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and cohort retention to derive actionable insights on marketing channel ROI, budget allocation, and customer retention strategies.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Build and maintain automated reporting and dashboards to track financial and performance metrics for marketing teams. Work collaboratively with controllership and data analytics colleagues to ensure data integrity and clarity.

  • Ad-Hoc Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis, including replicating dashboards and key performance metrics for potential acquisition targets.

  • Innovation and Technology:
  • Stay ahead of technological advancements, including AI, to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.

  • Support Broader Finance Initiatives:
  • Contribute to strategic finance workstreams, including cost-benefit analysis (CBA), headcount management, and reporting.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance within digital-first or omni-channel consumer brands within the Shopify ecosystem. Apparel experience is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with growth or performance marketing teams, as well as buyers and merchandising teams

Knowledge & Skills

  • Analytical Tools: Proficiency in data analytics tools, including Tableau, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial principles.
  • Marketing Channels: Familiarity with performance marketing channels such as affiliate, search, and social media.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize data and tell compelling stories through written reports, presentations, and tailored content for diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration & Organization: Strong interpersonal skills, discipline in documenting outcomes, and a proactive follow-up mindset.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with a willingness to get into the details and solve challenges head-on.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong capability to evaluate and translate data insights into actionable business strategies.
