Do work that matters:

The Product & Digital Line 1 Risk Chapter sits within the CommSec Chief Operating Office (COO) and supports the Product & Investing Solutions Crew and Digital and Customer Crew.

Line 1 is accountable for the proactive management of product risk within the product lifecycle, as well as risks across CommSec’s digital channels. This includes ensuring design and distribution compliance, control design, customer remediation, regulatory change implementation, incident and issue management and root cause analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Line 1 Risk team. This role plays an important role in enabling our teams to deliver products and services to our customers safer and faster.

As a Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to work on a varied and interesting set of products. You will work closely with the squad and lead Risk in Changes, customer financial remediations, risk advice, control design, incident and issue management.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leading initiatives to resolve remediations, issues, and incidents.

  • Driving and embedding strong risk culture within the squad.

  • Providing ongoing risk guidance and support to design optimal controls that will help the squad manage and mitigate the risks related to its products.

  • Performing ongoing controls assurance, testing and monitoring of compliance with obligations.

  • Liaising with Line 2, Compliance and Auditors to support Regulatory responses or Audit requests

  • Supporting the squad and Crew in achieving its overall objectives and key results.

  • Supporting the Crew and Chapter to ensure key projects, initiatives and BAU activities operate within defined risk appetite, risk framework, parameters and objectives.

  • Operating within the CBA Group, BB and CommSec risk appetite.

Your skills and experience:

  • Strong experience in all aspects of Operational Risk and Compliance Management Framework (OMRF) including controls design and management, issue and incidents management, remediation, risk-in-change, regulatory change implementation, RCSA, Compliance Self-Assessment (CSA).

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Proactive self-starter with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

  • Experience in financial services industry with understanding of regulatory landscape and operational risk management framework and principles.
