👩‍💻 The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing - Retention & User Experience to join our team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will focus on retention, engagement, CRM, and enhancing the user experience during their entire lifecycle as soon as they start using Headout’s products. Your goal will be to drive repeat usage, increase experiences per customer, and maximize customer lifetime value (LTV) by optimizing how users interact with Headout at every touchpoint.

Beyond just setting up user journeys, you’ll identify and implement creative and impactful hooks that massively increase customer retention. You’ll also collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to refine UX, ensuring frictionless and delightful experiences that keep users coming back.

This is a high-ownership role where your insights and decisions will shape long-term retention strategies. With full leadership backing and access to the right tools, you’ll have the freedom to make bold moves and redefine user engagement at Headout.

🎯What skills do you need?

  • 5+ years of experience in retention, engagement marketing, and user experience in fast-growing B2C consumer tech companies (e-commerce, OTAs, etc.).
  • Creative problem-solving mindset—you focus on solutions that significantly move the needle rather than just incremental improvements.
  • Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear, actionable steps.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams (marketing, product, design, engineering) to enhance both retention strategies and UX.
  • Experience in testing and refining user journeys to quickly validate ideas and scale what works.
  • Experience with retention platforms like MoEngage, Clevertap, or WebEngage.
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and reporting tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
