Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Research Finance, supports the Research Finance team, including key processes, analysis and projects that drive decision making in the global Research organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Test, utilize, enable and embed new digital and analytical tools into the Research Finance team processes and ways of working; find and suggest process efficiencies
-
Enable Research-wide resource allocation analysis, including the use of employee-reported data, in order to drive stronger decision making.

Enable the Research Business Development forecasting model. Support the broader BD process and deal cost/value assessment where necessary.

Participate (with ability/potential to lead) continuous improvement initiatives, including partnering with Procurement, HR and other functional partners

Assist in review and finalization of consolidated Research materials, including preparation of Budget, Projections, month and quarter end close processes and analysis

Draft timelines for upcoming Research Finance deliverables, and enable team coordination thereof

Support the transition of new Research Finance operating model; work collaboratively across US-based Research Finance colleagues as well as Hub-based colleagues in Hyderabad, India

Other job duties that may be assigned may be modified at any time as the departmental and company needs require in a dynamic environment
Qualifications & Experience:

BS/BA or equivalent required; MBA preferred
-
Prior relevant Finance experience (approx. 5+ years)

Strong communication skills, including presentation and written
-
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to support data-driven financial storytelling
-
Comfort and experience with analytics, willingness to learn, embrace and share new tools (including AI and visualization)

Strong sense of urgency and accountability; growth mindset to support innovation and continuous improvement
-
Additional preferred skills: SAP and/or Hyperion exposure

Hybrid work model required in alignment with BMS policy (i.e., 50% in-office)

Covid vaccination required in alignment with BMS policy
