Function as Product Design Owner for changes in manufacturing process. Member of the Leadership Team in the manufacturing plant.

Proactively prioritizes and balance utilization of resources and provides technical direction to staff.

Utilizes solid understanding of theories and practices of a variety of disciplines to manage complex projects or programs within boundaries of quality, time, and budget. Acknowledged in the plant for input on programs of some magnitude.

Exhibits creativity and innovation in completing responsibilities. Manages a team of R&D Engineers, based in the facility, in support of the global R&D team to develop and maintain the dispensable portfolio.

What you'll be doing

• Function as R&D Liaison with team ensuring alignment between R&D and Plant.

• Responsible for the oversight of ongoing changes to the product, assessing their impact on the final product, and ensuring vital actions are taken to maintain product quality and patient safety.

• Build and support product designs and that align with the ever-evolving needs and preferences of users.

• Function as (and develop locally) the Product Risk Management Owner (PRMO). Responsible for minimizing risks associated with the product by implementing effective mitigation strategies and maintaining comprehensive risk documentation.

• Lead Design Transfer activities for New Product introduction and Sustaining projects.

• Understand strategic imperatives to project success and work with Plant leadership to develop plans that incorporate R&D practices and customer needs into plant plans and activities.

• Develop effective project landmarks and schedules; identify project risks that may jeopardize project schedules and highlight effective mitigations; accountable for successfully meeting agreed upon landmarks for key projects. Understand and effectively connect with partners about the market niche, driven forces influencing the project, and how the project fits into the business’ strategic focus/plan.

• Ensure that team objectives align with key corporate strategic programs. Hire, develop, manage, and retain team. Build and maintain employee and interpersonal development by providing direction, constructive feedback, recognition, and motivation.

• Drive the team to solve problems expeditiously through the use of multiple subject areas (such as DMAIC tools) and technical principles.

• Provide leadership to team members, guiding them in terms of prioritization, problem resolution, process clarification, referrals to appropriate experts, etc. Proactively prioritize and balance utilization of resources allocated to projects; see opportunities to cross-train, back-fill.

• Develop recommendations for outside resources as the need arises.

• Build a professional network both internally within the business unit and locally outside of Baxter. Maintain current knowledge of relevant Quality System Regulations and other regulatory requirements related to research and development.

What you'll bring

1. Engineering professional and 13 years of related experience

2. Technical Management, Project Management, Leadership.

3. Advance level of English.
