About the role:

Agility Robotics is looking for a Senior Manager, Quality with experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System focused on customer satisfaction and compliance. The role will lead a team of engineers and inspectors to drive and manage quality throughout the value chain spanning the product life cycle. The role will drive quality planning, control and assurance as we scale our new factory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Product Engineering, Compliance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing NPI, Sustaining and Test Engineering, Production and Service as well as external partners. You will tackle challenging and novel situations by applying quality processes, effective problem solving methodology while fostering and enabling a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Along the way, we guarantee that you'll learn a ton, be challenged and well supported, have fun, and make a positive impact.  This role is a full time on-site role located at our new RoboFab facility in Salem, Oregon.


About the work:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system and policies
  • Develop, implement, and provide regular reporting on quality metrics
  • Manage quality planning, processes and resources to support new and existing products
  • Ensure products and services adhere to company and industry quality standards
  • Champion and drive quality and continuous improvement across the organization
  • Collaborate with relevant teams and departments to improve products and processes
  • Grow and develop a diverse team with quality and technical backgrounds
  • Implement methods to inspect, test, evaluate, and analyze products and product quality
  • Implement and maintain cost of quality program
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data
  • Enhance and mature quality policies and procedures to support part and supplier approval and qualification processes, and performance through the product life cycle
  • Hire, train, coach, develop and evaluate performance of quality staff
  • Develop and implement statistical methods to track and improve quality and predictability
  • Ensure enterprise systems reflect and support the QMS policies and processes

About you:

The successful candidate should be an excellent coach, mentor, communicator, and leader and have extensive experience in quality management. Additional qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/science/robotics or related field 
  • 10+ years of quality management experience working with complex products
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in product quality (hardware, electrical, or electromechanical systems and products), preferably in a repetitive manufacturing
  • 5+ years managing technical teams including hiring, coaching, and developing talent
  • Extensive experience and training in quality approaches (Six Sigma, TQM, Lean)
  • Well versed in quality problem solving methodologies and root cause analysis
  • Experience in risk assessment methodologies (FMEA, NUDD, HARA)
  • Experience in supplier assessment, qualification, and sustaining quality compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast paced team environment, and be hands-on
  • Strong mathematical and statistical analysis skills
  • Excellent judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
  • Strong knowledge of ISO-9001, inspection methods IPC-610/620. ASME Y14.5 a plus!
  • Extensive experience using quality methods (FAI, PPAP, Cp/k, CAPA, RCCA, FMEA)
  • Proficiency using statistical applications (Power BI, Minitab, Tableau, JMP, etc.)
  • Desired Certifications: CMQ/OE, CQE, CSQP
