As the Senior Manager of Procurement, you will oversee all aspects of the company’s procurement process, including sourcing strategies, supplier management, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and process standardization/improvements. Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing and Contract Negotiation
    • Define key metrics and policies to track and report on procurement activities. Provide updates to both leadership and business on updates cost savings, supplier negotiations, spend under management, operational efficiencies, and future initiatives.
    • Develop and execute functional sourcing strategies for commercial, medical, and all other operational needs.
    • Optimize costs, quality, and supplier relationships.
    • Identify opportunities for consolidation, volume discounts, and long-term agreements.
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure superior terms and pricing for operational efficiencies and service levels.
    • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities across categories and organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement them.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
    • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
    • Promote supplier diversity and support ESG initiatives by identifying diverse and ESG friendly suppliers and integrating them into the procurement process.
  • Market Intelligence
    • Advanced analytical skills to analyze market trends, pricing data, supplier performance metrics, and contract terms to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
    • Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry dynamics.
  • Process Optimization
    • Oversee the transactional buying function to execute swift and accurate purchasing in compliance with internal standards.
    • Establish and enforce procurement policies and processes that ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. Monitor and optimize key procurement performance metrics.
    • Ensure each step is designed with internal control compliance with proper approval and documentations.
    • Enhance efficiency and standardization to reduce cycle times.
    • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance P2P system functionality and automation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to align procurement activities and policies with overall business objectives.
    • Oversee the enhancement, execution, and operational excellence of the purchasing process in cross-functional partnership with key stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related; MBA, Master of Supply Chain, or JD strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and contract negotiation, ideally in publicly traded companies.
  • Proficiency in developing sourcing strategies, detail oriented, and experience in successfully developing RFPs, obtaining stakeholder alignments and concluding negotiations in a timely manner.
  • Comprehensive understandings of SOX 404 internal control requirements in procurement processes.
  • Expertise in procurement processes and best practices. Demonstrated record of procurement process and policy implement and improvement across functionally.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency and a high degree of initiative and self-motivation delivering high quality output to tight deadlines and in a constantly changing and growing business environment.
  • Strong and confident communicator both in writing and verbally, who can concisely summarize issues and answer the “so what.”
  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills for data visualization.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP and Ariba.
  • A desire to be part of a high-growth transformational company.
