The Senior Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) for Procurement will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of procurement projects. This role involves managing project teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and driving continuous improvement in procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and procurement, with excellent organizational skills.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 

  • Lead and manage multiple procurement projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop, maintain and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management regularly.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, support, and motivation. Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges and ensure project continuity.

  • Continuously evaluate procurement project management processes and methodologies and provide recommendations to the PMO leader. Support the PMO leader with the implementation of best practices and tools to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated appropriately. Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, and post-project evaluations.

Internal/External Stakeholders:  

  • Procurement teams: Strategy & Performance, Business Partner & Strategy (BP&S), Agile Sourcing and the CoE.

  • Various external (to procurement) stakeholders depending on project scope

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of five (5) years business experience, including one (1) to three (3) years of experience in project management.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Internal stakeholder management and strong virtual team participation.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana).

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions in a highly matrixed organization global setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • M.S./M.B.A.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of multi-disciplined procurement experience is highly desirable.
