Job Description:
What You'll Do
The Senior Manager, Policies and Procedures will lead Discover's Enterprise Policy and Procedures Program and team, ensuring the effective governance of polices and procedures across the enterprise. The incumbent will also serve as the product owner for the policy and procedure module(s) and systems in the Company's GRC platform, as well as related technologies. This is a high visibility position, and will regularly interface with senior management in formal (committee) and informal circumstances. Strong written, verbal, and visual communications skills are a must for this position, as is a working knowledge of building performance and risk reporting and/or dashboards.
Develops and coaches teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee
How You'll Do It

  • Owns and manages the Enterprise Policy and Procedures Program
  • Serves as Product Owner for the policy and procedure modules within the Company's GRC tool and associates technologies
  • Recruits, trains, and leads team members
  • Partners with senior stakeholders across the enterprise
  • Develops, maintains, and presents reporting on the health and effectiveness of the Company's Policy and Procedures Program


Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics

  • Bachelors degree in Law, Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 8+ years compliance, policy governance, technical writing, editorial staff/management, GRC
  • In Lieu of degree 10+ years experience in compliance, policy governance, technical writing, editorial staff/management, GRC

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Masters or JD degree in Law, Business Administration and Management, Information Technology, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 10+ years compliance, policy governance, technical writing, editorial staff/management, GRC
  • JD, PMP, CISA, CRISC, CAMS etc.

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
