About the Job:

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Platform & Influencer Strategy, reporting into the Senior Director of Community, to lead and define our brand’s multi-platform presence and influencer ecosystem with precision, vision, and strategic innovation.

This role is a guiding force in shaping how we engage across LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, ensuring each platform is maximized, differentiated, and deeply effective in achieving our broader business goals.

Additionally, this role leads Influencer & Creator Strategy, ensuring that RTR is activating the right talent at the right time to drive both brand and business impact. This includes data-driven casting, relationship management, vendor partnerships, and campaign logic and planning to ensure our influencer and creator strategies deliver measurable success.

This is a high-impact role—setting the platform vision, guiding creator and influencer activations, and ensuring strategic execution at the highest level. It requires a big-picture thinker who is also deeply tactical, ensuring every decision ladders up to brand growth, community engagement, and business impact.

Beyond social and influencer strategy, this role is a key partner to creative, brand and paid media ensuring the right internal resources are aligned to social programming. 

You will work laterally with our In-House Content Creator to help produce complex content franchises, as well as directly manage Rent the Runway’s Social Media Manager.

Platform & Social Strategy

  • Execute the Platform Strategy: Implement the vision and roadmap for LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, ensuring each platform has a unique, high-performing strategy aligned with audience behaviors and brand priorities.
  • Set and Uphold Best-in-Class Execution Standards: Develop and enforce tailored content strategies to maximize engagement and drive measurable business impact across all platforms.
  • Own Strategic B2B Partnerships: Lead and maintain key platform partnerships to unlock opportunities, exclusive features, and strategic collaborations that push the brand forward.
  • Guide the Big Picture: Relentlessly advocate and defend our north star, ensuring all content decisions align with larger brand, community, and business goals.
  • Bridge Strategy with Creative Execution: Partner closely with the creative team to assign internal resources to social/community programming, ensuring that designers, producers, and editors are effectively allocated to priority initiatives.
  • Drive Measurable Impact: Set clear KPIs, analyze performance data, and adjust strategies in real-time to ensure platforms deliver on brand and business objectives.


Influencer & Creator Ecosystem Management

  • Lead Influencer Casting & Strategy: Develop data-driven influencer casting, leveraging audience insights, past performance, and business priorities to ensure the right creator mix for each campaign.
  • Manage Influencer Relationships: Build long-term partnerships with influencers, talent agencies, and vendors to ensure a strong, high-performing influencer ecosystem.
  • Oversee Vendor & Partnership Strategy: Manage relationships with external partners to scale influencer activations efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Campaign Logic & Planning: Develop structured influencer campaign models, ensuring efficient workflow, clear objectives, and strong ROI measurement.
  • Creator Ecosystem Strategy: Deeply understand and optimize RTR’s creator tiers, ensuring a structured activation model that maximizes impact.
  • Activation Strategy & Execution: Define and execute RTR’s creator engagement and activation plans, ensuring the right creators are leveraged at the right time for maximum business impact.
  • Long-Term Creator Relationship Management: Establish and nurture relationships with high-value creators, ensuring continued collaboration and brand alignment.


What You Bring: 

  • Deep expertise in platform strategy with a proven track record of leading across LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • A strategic mindset with a bias for action, able to think big picture while also executing at a highly detailed level.
  • Strong understanding of Influencer & Creator Marketing, including data-driven casting, campaign planning, and relationship management.
  • Experience managing talent & agency relationships, including working directly with influencers, managers, and vendors.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience, able to effectively partner with creative, paid, influencer, and brand teams.
  • A logistics-first approach to execution, ensuring the right teams are working on the right priorities at the right time.
  • A passion for community-driven content, knowing how to build engagement, loyalty, and brand love at scale.
  • Proven ability to navigate a fast-moving environment, adjusting priorities based on data, trends, and platform shifts.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $115,200 to $144,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. This position is also eligible for equity compensation.
