ROLE SUMMARY
The Pfizer Intelligent Assistance Solutions (IAS) Team within the AI Data and Analytics (AIDA) organization is responsible for the products/platforms strategy for Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Process (NLP) and Generative AI capabilities across the enterprise. Its mission is to innovate, build, standardize and scale breakthrough AI/GenAI solutions, products and platforms that enable Pfizer to connect digitally with all our customers.
The IAS Team seeks a Senior Platform DevSecOps Engineer who will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of AI platforms focused on delivering conversational AI and language translation capabilities to Pfizer. As an Platform DevSecOps Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our AI and machine learning products and platforms. You will work closely with our development, security, and operations teams to integrate security practices into every stage of the software development lifecycle. Your expertise will help us build and maintain robust, scalable, and secure AI Products.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Platform DevSecOps engineer colleague's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support and Administration of key platforms related to Conversational AI and Language Translation capabilities
  • Lead lifecycle management activities related to upgrades, patches, hardware scaling and retirement
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvements across the CI/CD environment with integrated security practices.
  • Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices to ensure security is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Automate security testing and vulnerability assessments within the development process.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement secure coding practices.
  • Design, deploy, and manage secure cloud infrastructure for AI and machine learning applications.
  • Implement and manage security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to assist in hosting and deploy AI and ML based products, pipelines and API services into Dev, Stage and Production.
  • Provide training and guidance to AI development and operations teams on DevSecOps best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and tools.
  • Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis to identify and address root causes.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required. MSc is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in deploying enterprise software solutions in private cloud environments or public cloud providers preferably AWS & Azure as well as familiar with cloud architecture frameworks on AWS /Azure /GCP.
  • Familiar with AWS services Fargate /Lambda/Dynamo DB/EC2/S3).
  • Experience in building and managing production services using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT.
  • Has owned systems and managed development of end-to-end applications.
  • Experience with production deployments of complex systems.
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
  • Basic Knowledge with generative AI services offered by several providers like AWS /Azure/GCP.
  • Experience with an industry accepted structured software development life cycle methodology.
  • Experience in supporting the development of complex software products including the deployment of multiple versions / releases of a large product.
  • Ability to contribute to technical specifications and technical design documentation for the software development team.
  • Familiar with ITIL framework.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like (Grafana /Dynatrace).
  • Experience with working in teams to address software defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Proven ability in performance testing and optimization of developed source code for an enterprise business application.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with the software development team while driving software improvements.
  • Candidate must be an excellent communicator.

Provides advice on technical aspects of Conversational UI and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
Technical Acumen: Maintains knowledge of specific technologies provides detailed advice regarding their application, executes specialized tasks.
Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Develop awareness of industry developments and best practices Provide thought leadership in emerging technologies as they relate to AI and Conversational UI
Presentation Skills: Ability to develop visually simple and appealing PowerPoint presentations and be comfortable with articulating and communicating with the right authority and messaging to a broad range of stakeholders
