Senior Manager, North Asia (Cross-Functional) - Special Projects

The North Asia Supply Strategy team works directly with Agoda's North Asia Leadership team to provide business critical insights using analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and help teams drive strategic initiatives forward. We aimed to help the business to grow locally, strategically and efficiently.
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Manager, you will be focusing on leading and contributing to a select number of special cross-functional projects. You will get to work closely with senior stakeholders across the organization - such as product, supply, marketing, and customer support - to set our strategy and drive key business initiatives in North Asia. You will develop outstanding insights on our markets, competitors, and business trends and then translate the insights into actionable proposals for our cross-functional stakeholders outside of North Asia. You help our leaders in North Asia to bring local insights to our cross-functional stakeholders and execute through deep cross-functional collaborations.
In this Role, you will get to:
- Lead and own a few strategic special projects, that may involve product, marketing, customer support and other internal teams
- Help shape and drive internal analysis for problem and opportunity finding
- Conduct industry and competitor research to benchmark
- Build relationship with senior leaders in various cross-functional departments and develop in-depth knowledge of the North Asia market context in which you could share insights and actionable recommendations
- Develop draft business proposals to solve the potential problem or opportunity that you have identified through solid data analysis
- Support and act as the PMO of the execution of the proposed projects together with the cross-functional internal teams
- Track Objective and Key Results (OKRs) and conduct deep-dives on effectiveness of the strategic cross-functional projects
- Periodical report to senior leadership both in North Asia and HQ on the progress and results of the special strategic projects
What you will Need to Succeed:
- Experience working in a similar role, ideally in a technology company
- Degree in BS or BA required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, understand how to influence and manage senior stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically, learn fast and understand new business dynamics
- Strong presentation and story-telling skills
- Ability and willingness to drive projects independently, working efficiently to deliver results rapidly and engaging the relevant stakeholders throughout the process
- Experience with SQL and know how to analyze data without much instruction
This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan. Relocation package will be provided.
