Job Details
The Senior Manager, Identity Governance is responsible for providing vision and direction for the Identity Governance team at Cencora, and implementation of Identity Governance processes at the enterprise level supporting all Cencora business units and affiliates.

  • Manages a team of individuals and vendors to implement Identity Governance processes and controls which help to assure that information, created, acquired, or maintained by authorized users, is used in accordance with its intended purpose.
  • Oversees the planning, execution, and management of security engagements related to Identity Governance
  • Develops key critical reports to be presented on vulnerabilities to stakeholders and serves as an Identity Governance subject matter expert (SME) for ISO programs
  • Advises strategic and tactical direction and consultation on security initiatives and provides support and collaboration to ensure organizational objectives are met
  • Develops, refines and implements enterprise-wide security policies, procedures, and standards across multiple platform and application environments to meet internal and external compliance responsibilities
  • Supports documentation and tracking of policies, procedures, standards and system configurations and recommends and implements changes as necessary
  • Participates in goals/KPIs setting, budget creation and performance management of Information Security team
  • Leads security team in validating and evidence gathering for escalated security incidents and identifies root cause for application and/or network-related security issues and advises on remediation options
  • Contributes to the review of internal processes and activities and assists in identifying potential opportunities for improvement and further automation
  • Provides technical/management leadership on assignments and acts as a SME; provides technical and business process responses during training as required
  • Ensures technical and business alignment with other team members or departments including information security project design, implementation or monitoring, research and development on new processes and procedures for best practices
  • Coordinates, organizes and reports on application development, and infrastructure implementation and maintenance of various security initiatives
  • Leads the strategy, design, engineering and implementation of robust security strategies, frameworks, platforms, and solutions
  • Provides vision and leadership for the organization's overall cybersecurity processes and culture
  • Carries out the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's security guiding documentation and manages the services and relationship with research and enterprise security teams to develop joint processes and procedures
  • Helps the company improve information security and helps design and implement information security programs that can keep pace with the ever-changing security requirements
  • Provides leadership over corporate business resiliency, which includes business/service continuity planning, business impact management, and disaster recovery measures
  • Leads the strategy, design, engineering and implementation of robust security strategies, frameworks, platforms, and solutions
  • Leads a high-performing team for designing, building, testing and implementing security solutions and assists the overall IT risk & compliance team in maintaining user population and reviewing reports related to accounting activity


  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Security and Assurance, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Business Analytics or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - highly desired but not required
  • Seven (7) or more years of directly-related or relevant experience with at least three (3) years in a managerial capacity, preferably in information security.
  • Demonstrated successful implementation of security control frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 17799, COBIT, ITIL, NIST and PCI.
  • Directly applicable International / global experience desired.
  • A deep understanding in Identity and Access management principals, methodology, and solutions including access control (role-based and discretionary), authentication, authorization, provisioning, approvals, metrics, and workflows
  • Experience with regulatory and SOX controls
  • Strong sense of ownership and driven to manage tasks to completion
  • Candidate must be extremely well organized, disciplined, dependable, focused, and detailed-oriented
  • Candidate must possess the ability to move quickly from task to task in a very demanding, fast-paced environment
  • The role demands excellent time management skills along with the ability to prioritize and solve problems quickly and calmly
  • Strength in the following leadership areas: Coaching and Mentoring, Conflict Resolution, Critical Thinking, Multitasking, People Management, Planning Presentation Skills
  • Strong working experience with the following technical skills: IT Risk Management, IT Controls, Cyber Attack Mitigation, Enterprise Architecture, Network Security, Service Level Maintenance, Threat Modelling
  • Knowledge of the following tools: Microsoft Office Suite, Security Tools - SIEM, EDR, Email Security Gateway, SOAR, Firewall, Anti-virus, Firewalls, VPN IDS/IPS, AV, proxies, Security Testing Tools - Open Source and COTS security tools, Threat Intelligence Tools Vulnerability Testing Tools

Salary Range*
$121,000 - 186,230
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
