As the Senior Manager, Global Tax Reporting, you will report to the Head of Tax and manage Roblox's global tax reporting process which includes income tax reporting and US income tax compliance.
You have experience working in a high-growth organization and who thrive on making an impact on the organization. You can perform tax research, work with outside advisors and with internal departments. You are experienced in overseeing a broad range of tax matters, compliance and special project work.
This full-time position is based in San Mateo, CA (HQ) on a hybrid schedule.
You Will:
- Be responsible for the quarterly and annual tax provision and financial statement tax disclosures.
- Be responsible for global uncertain tax position and valuation allowance positions and calculations; anticipate future events and advise leadership of risks and opportunities.
- Assist in purchase accounting and integration of acquired companies in tax provision and US tax compliance processes and systems.
- Preparation and/or review key inputs to the income tax calculations.
- Be responsible for the U.S. federal and state income tax compliance.
- Be responsible for U.S. international tax compliance including GILTI, BEAT, FDII, and other key international taxes.
- Manage external tax advisors' timely preparation of global income tax provision and US tax compliance, ensuring completeness and accuracy of deliverables.
- Prepare forecasted income taxes for Roblox's guidance and cash tax analysis.
- Prepare quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments.
- Be responsible for SOX controls and documentation for income taxes.
- Manage income tax audits and respond to notices from tax authorities.
- Assist with and lead special projects; monitor evolving legislation, calculation and disclosure requirements.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS in Tax or a CPA preferred
- 10+ years of income tax compliance and financial reporting experience with a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department.
- Technical knowledge of U.S. income tax matters, ASC 740 - Income Taxes and SEC disclosure standards, U.S. federal and state tax compliance, and relevant industry experience.
- Experience managing a positive relationship with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Experience engaging and leading spirited discussions, enthusiasm solving complex problems and is quick to understand and integrate business objectives with tax compliance and strategies.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$199,100—$242,770 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
We are requiring employees to be in the office three days a week – with core days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Mondays and Fridays, employees may choose to work remotely, although the office will still be open.
