Job Overview : As the Senior Manager - Controllership you will play a crucial role in overseeing the organization all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, treasury and financial risk management. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial
reporting, taxation and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & REPORTING:
● End-to-end responsibility for the statutory and tax reporting.
● Ensure accurate and timely generation of month end financial reports and maintaining theintegrity of the general ledger.
● Review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports. Assist Junglee and Flutter International teams in analyzing financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures.
● Responsible for the monthly closing and reporting in all applicable accounting frameworks(IndAS, IFRS and US GAAP).
● Together with the International finance team, lead development of systems and procedures in compliance with local laws, corporate governance, standard accounting practices and business needs.
● Ensure timely completion and submission of audited statutory financial statements in compliance with local requirements.
● Be the Key point of contact with company auditors and third-party compliance advisors
● Oversee all government required reporting and tax returns.
● Timely and accurately respond to questions and requests from the Flutter International and Flutter Group teams.
● Any other ad hoc financial related information required from time to time.
FINANCE OPERATIONS
● Provide oversight over the key financial operations like Payment Gateway operations and
reconciliations, Accounts Payable etc.
● Maintain regular reporting to Executive Management for critical payment metrics
INTERNAL CONTROLS AND AUDITS
■ Collaborate with Flutter and Junglee cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with the identified financial controls
■ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities streamline operations, and enhance the overall control environment.
■ Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track progress towards resolution.
■ Collaborate with the external advisors to evaluate the design and effectiveness of Internal
Financial Controls (IFC) framework, identifying control gaps and weaknesses, and implementing remediations.
■ Coordinate efforts and interactions with finance related aspects for Internal Audit, IFC and ICoFR Team building
● Lead and mentor a team of accounting, controllership and taxation professionals.
● Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Requirements :-
● Qualified Chartered Accountant and Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
● +5 years of progressive experience in accounting and controllership, with focus on leadership roles.
● In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, US GAAP, financial reporting.
● Working knowledge of direct and indirect taxation laws for India
● Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
