About the Position

The Senior Manager, Events plays a key role in Laudio’s go-to-market strategy, helping fuel brand awareness and growth with a top-notch events program. Reporting to Laudio’s Chief Marketing Officer, this person has responsibility for planning and executing both our industry events program and own annual thought leadership conference (The Leadership Innovation Exchange - LINE).

The Senior Manager, Events collaborates closely with leaders across the company – especially sales, marketing, and client engagement – to identify, plan, and execute events effectively. This person also regularly engages with clients, prospects, partners, and other external parties to plan and coordinate events and related activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, managing, and executing the company’s industry events program:
    • Build annual event plans aligned with company goals and rooted in ROI analyses wherever possible
    • Plan and manage individual events with a proactive approach, creative strategies, close attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence
    • Develop event promotion plans across channels and coordinate with the marketing team to integrate them with broader marketing plans
    • Collaborate with sales on lead management processes to maximize conversion
    • Meet/exceed quarterly and annual goals for lead generation and pipeline growth from events
    • Communicate event plans and outcomes to the senior leadership team and broader company
  • Leading the planning and execution of Laudio’s LINE conference: 
    • Develop comprehensive, well-structured project plans for the annual event and manage effectively to associated deadlines 
    • Manage all parts of the planning, promotion, and delivery of the event
    • Partner successfully with the senior leadership, marketing, sales, client, and product teams on agenda development, speaker identification/recruitment, and general attendee recruitment
    • Lead all speaker communication and prep efforts to ensure speakers stay well-informed and are prepared ahead of the event
    • Drive the evolution of the LINE branding and website
  • Managing Laudio’s event speaking strategy and submissions:
    • Manage the company’s speaking submission calendar and coordinate all submissions proactively to hit deadlines
    • Propose session topics and speakers and partner with sales and client engagement on client/prospect engagement wherever relevant
    • Work with event partners to identify and maximize speaking opportunities
  • Tracking and reporting on results:
    • Monitor progress against event-specific goals and monthly, quarterly, and annual event program goals, adjusting strategies when needed.
    • Provide regular, standardized, and accurate reports to senior leadership.
  • Managing the marketing events budget:
    • Manage and track event-related components of the marketing budget.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years in marketing with at least 4 years in events
  • Healthcare experience required; health system experience a plus
  • Experience leading planning for an organization’s own annual thought leadership conference, client summit, or comparable event
  • Propensity to operate successfully in a fast-paced startup environment, including managing multiple high-priority work streams simultaneously 
  • Ability to balance strategy development with tactical execution
  • Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with internal colleagues at all levels, as well as clients, prospects, vendors, and other third parties
  • Track record of partnering successfully with sales and client teams on events 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Exceptional project planning/management skills and attention to detail
  • Dedication to event best practices and high-quality deliverables that meet brand standards
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience reporting results clearly and accurately to senior-level audiences
  • Significant experience using HubSpot and other key marketing tools 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in various environments with multiple distractions.
  • Must be able to travel.

Travel: 10-15%

Status: Full-time/Exempt
