As the Senior Manager of Digital Workplace Productivity Platforms, you will lead a team of IT engineering professionals responsible for the design, delivery, operations, and security of critical collaboration services, transformative generative AI tools, and applications that are used by thousands of employees and customers, including M365 productivity apps and services, Teams, GenAI solutions like Copilot, and other tools like Zoom and Webex. You will also drive the adoption of new technologies and solutions that enhance the productivity, collaboration, and security of the organization. You will report to the director of Workplace Computing and Communications, working closely with other IT leaders and stakeholders across the organization, including a strong partnership with the Email & Messaging team.
** This is an onsite based position at our Austin, TX campus.
Responsibilities

Manage, lead, coach, and develop the email and collaboration services team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management

Own and implement the strategy, budget and resourcing, roadmap and processes for critical email and collaboration tools and core applications used by 50k+ users and devices, including platforms like Exchange, Teams, Zoom, Power platform, live events/webinars, M365, Copilot/ChatGPT, and digital signage

Ensure the availability, scalability, and security of the foundational productivity and collaboration services, including usage of alternative platforms as needed to ensure continuity

Partnering to ensure a similar standard of delivery of email/messaging services, including mail flow, secure email gateways, and corresponding tools and technologies

Collaborate with other stakeholders, support teams, business units, IT peers and leadership to share your vision and incorporate their feedback and ensure maximal business value creation

Manage the vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements for the email and collaboration tools and applications

Oversee the performance, capacity, and usage of these key productivity and collaboration services, using data analytics, reporting, and dashboards

Ensure the compliance of services with the organization's policies, standards, and regulations, such as data privacy, security, and governance

Stay updated on the latest research and evaluation of emerging technologies and tools in this space to bring the future of collaboration to Applied Materials
Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field

15+ years of relevant experience designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting global enterprise-level IT solutions, including direct experience email and collaboration tools and applications

7+ years managing large, geographically-dispersed (both remote and onsite), highly-technical engineering teams and contractors

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders and teams

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive improvement and innovation

Strong project management, budget management, and vendor management skills, with the ability to deliver results on time and within scope and budget

Strong passion and desire for innovation and security, with the ability to identify and implement new opportunities and solutions that enhance the productivity of the organization

U.S. Salary Range:
$156,000.00 - $214,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
