We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Manager to join the Ad Ranking Team in Monetization.
What you'll do:

  • Support a group of elite machine learning engineers and scientists to advance ML modeling and capabilities, build and improve advertising products, and help our partners achieve their business goals on the Snap platform
  • Build robust, lasting, and scalable products, and iterate quickly without compromising quality
  • Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of key decisions and technical roadmap
  • Support the team, grow leaders, and foster positive team culture
  • Build strong partnership with key stakeholders and leadership


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of ML approaches and algorithms, and their applications to advertising or recommendation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
  • Experience in solving open ambiguous problems from end to end
  • Strong people management skills


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of experience
  • 10+ years of machine learning experience in industry
  • 4+ years experience managing ML teams focusing on advertising applications


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in computer science or related field
  • Experience working with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or related frameworks
  • Experience managing a team of 25+ engineers with manager reports
  • Previous experience partnering with cross-functional executives and management across a globally distributed organization and exercising sound judgment

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :
The base salary range for this position is $244,000-$366,000 annually.
Zone B :
The base salary range for this position is $232,000-$348,000 annually.
Zone C :
The base salary range for this position is $208,000-$311,000 annually.
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
