We are seeking an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join our team, here at our head office in Manchester City Centre. This role is on a permanent basis, with hybrid and flexile working. This is an ideal opportunity for a recently/newly qualified accountant with up to 2 years of PQE eager to enter this field.

About the Role

The Senior Management Accountant will play a vital role in managing our AMEA region. This region consists of around 18 different countries, so it is essential that someone is versatile to support each country as required. Reporting into our Financial Controller and the successful Senior Management Accountant you’ll have the opportunity to work across various tasks due to the differences and complexities within the regions.

You will be playing a key part and will be responsible for providing accurate monthly management reporting, including regular cashflow forecasting and budgeting across the AMEA region and analysing cash movements. Along with that, you will support internal stakeholders, by producing accurate and insightful information to assist with decision and action planning across the business. Part of the role will also include identifying and implementing improvements in reporting and control across TMS.

Responsibilities will include (but not limited):

  • Responsibility for accurate production of all management accounts and monthly reporting

  • Analyse financial data to identify and resolve any issues and to explain any variances from budget or forecast

  • Produce and manage cash flow forecasts to share with the relevant stakeholders

  • Ensure that the balance sheets are fully reconciled and reviewed every month end with any issues identified and resolved

  • Support the annual budget and periodic forecast process

  • Identify and make recommendations on where system and control improvements can be made

  • Identification of areas where profit could be maximised through cost savings or other relevant measures

  • Ensure compliance with any other regulatory reporting requirements that may arise

This role offers hybrid flexible working with 2 days a week at our Manchester HQ.

About You

If you are qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) and an experienced Senior Management Accountant or highly experienced Management Accountant, looking for the next step, who both have experience working in a medium to large sized, multi-national company, then this role could be a great fit for you. Any additional experience / background covering the AMEA region in particular would be beneficial.

To qualify for the role, some skills that would be either essential or helpful:

  • 3-4 years’ experience working in a Management Accountant position

  • Experience managing a small team

  • Excellent Excel skills and experience

  • Use to managing various stakeholders

  • Experience working in a multinational, multi-currency environment

  • Knowledge of IFRS

  • Financial, management & group reporting, Balance sheet controls

  • A self-starter and someone who can adapt to change
