Senior M365 Architect

Planet Technologies West Region is looking for a Senior Microsoft 365 (M365) Architect. The successful candidate's skills bridge technical knowledge, leadership, and sales experience. The Architect will be responsible for the scope, assessment, design, testing, and technical documentation for the implementation, support, and migration of enterprise cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in M365 platforms, including Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview. They will leverage this knowledge to inspire and guide customers, colleagues, and strategic partners, offering innovative solutions to meet business needs.

Essential Functions

• Surface and analyze customer business requirements in presales conversations and project work
• Lead presales calls and translate requirements into Statement of Work and architectural design
• Design, construct, configure, and maintain all facets of a Microsoft 365 tenant
• Plan and execute an end-to-end implementation of M365 infrastructure workloads
• Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging M365 and related core technologies
• Provide leadership in security and compliance practices, as they relate to M365
• Proactively help customers make more complex decisions around features and capabilities
• Identify, scope, and refer opportunities for additional sales for Planet provided services and offerings
• Lead internal technical knowledge sharing communities and present new technologies
• Provide process improvements or standardization on elements that will have broad impact
• Lead and provide strategic vision to large technical teams on complex project

• 5+ years' experience in M365 and broad technology expertise

Essentials

• Microsoft 365: Subject matter expert for Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and other M365 workloads
• Microsoft Security: Microsoft Defender XDR, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID
• Microsoft Compliance: Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention and Compliance Center Experience including – Litigation Hold, Retention, and eDiscovery
• Exchange: Must have real-world, hands-on experience delivering messaging and collaboration solutions utilizing Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 within large complex environments. This includes extensive hybrid and third-party migration experience.
• Active Directory: Must have real-world experience helping to managing and maintaining AD, GPO's, On-Premises Active Directory Migrations.

• Certifications: At least two active certifications in area(s) of expertise:
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (preferred)
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
• Citizenship: Candidates must be US Citizens as this work entails working with State and Local Government Agencies
• Travel: 0 - 25%

Salaries for Architects at Planet Technologies range from $140,000 and $225,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
