As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the within Asset Management Client Service Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your leadershiip capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications. We are looking for an experienced Full stack developer and all-round technologist with a passion for solving business problems through innovation, software engineering best practices and teamwork.
Job responsibilities

  • Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in development, to technically lead and support the growth of other team members.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
  • Demonstrated tenure of leading a team from a technical perspective
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in backend development (Java 17, Spring)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in frontend development (React & front end testing frameworks).
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience to aid with the teams adoption to AWS, however other platforms such as GCP or Azure are highly thought of


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands-on experience with messaging platforms (such as Kafka) is preferred, however this can be adopted and learned on the job
  • Experience with Angular development, with a desire to retain into React development
