Job Summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior lead RMS Engineer to join the Mechanical team in

supporting the development of innovative aviation, Interiors, Landing & Cargo Systems

for the world’s leading commercial aircraft companies.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform an Reliability & safety assessment process in accordance with

ARP4761/ Mil-STD882, including but not limited to, Preliminary System Safety

Assessments (PSSAs), System Safety Assessments (SSAs), Fault Tree Analysis

(FTAs), Common Mode Analyses (CMAs), Reliability analysis, Which includes (

FMEA & Reliability Prediction)

• Providing RAMS analysis solutions in support of programs and technologies

• Working closely with in-house as well as US counter parts engineering teams

(Electronics design, performance ) to deliver detailed RAMS analysis

• Strong Mechanical drawing understanding, and well aware about how to work

with CATIA/UG

• Should able to understand Stress analysis.

• Support systems, hardware, and software engineering teams in defining system

safety requirements during development activity

• Also serve as a systems safety architect and customer interface to capture,

analyze, decompose, translate and create requirements for large complex

systems.

• Mentors teams on the utilization of internal processes, methods, and tools for

systems development and documentation efforts. Drives new approaches, tools,

and techniques based on needs identified in metric and defect trends in the

enterprise.

• Drives Discipline strategies that align with higher level business objectives

• Helps steer the customer on how they can achieve their objectives

• Lead technical proposal preparations and serve as the subject matter expert in

non-advocate and customer systems reviews for large complex systems.

• Recognized technical expert in avionics safety

Basic Qualifications

• MEng / MSc or BE in an Mechanical Engg or similar engineering discipline and

9+ years of relevant experience

• Significant knowledge of ARP4761/ ARP4754

• Demonstrated expertise with Windchill Quality System & CAFTA

• Demonstrated expertise in aircraft or embedded systems

• Good knowledge in reliability engineering theory

• Effective oral/written communication skills (including technical writing)

• Effective interpersonal and team skills

• Demonstrated expertise on how to prepare and present technical information to

peers, to all levels of internal management, and to external customers

• Demonstrated expertise on how to coordinate several projects and complex

engineering activities while balancing priorities and schedules

• Engaging in effective time management, working with a great deal of

independence

• Experience with JAMA requirements management software and Confluence tool.
