About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to join the CB Risk Management and Credit Insight team. In this role, you will own the Model and EUCT coordination, governance, and engage in supporting the development and execution of business strategies on behalf of the front line business group. This individual will also be responsible for managing, developing and supporting key credit performance metrics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model and EUCT Owner and Coordinator -
- Model/Workbook development and governance – support and lead business strategy and prioritization around development of Model Enabled Decision tools (ex. PD expansion, EFM) with ongoing focus on Early Warning Review (EWR), Renewals, Risk Rating, and Originations.
- Own the Model and EUCT validation process and governance in collaboration with the Risk Model Group and applicable SMEs to meet all policy requirements.
- Primary Liaison with the Risk Modeling Group who is our primary partner in Model development and implementation.
- Support implementation of enhanced Model governance in collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual EUCT and Model attestations with deep dives (as necessary) with applicable approvers, stakeholders and/or partners.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand methodologies, and credit processes to support Models / EUCTs effectively.
- Analyze and interpret data / reporting to identifying trends, correlations and gaps.
- Be the primary contact to help users understand the Model / EUCT function and design
- Key Performance Metrics -
- Manage and execute upon insight and analysis of the Key Performance Indicators to ensure credit monitoring processes and/or past due activities remain within business defined risk tolerance.
- Work with data and reporting to identify and report upon the Unassigned Portfolio and/or Timely Transfers to Workout
- Define, develop, enhance, and/or execute requirements, process, data, reporting, and insight in support of front line credit teams, portfolio monitoring and operational activities
- Analyze credit data to assess risk, identify trends and/or provide research to support strategic decisions in credit processes.
- Provide concise insight and recommendations to senior management, highlighting key risks and mitigation strategies or improvement/efficiency opportunities.
- Data quality (or data reconciliation) – monitoring thresholds of data quality through adhoc and research to ensure control requirements are effective. Responsible for supporting the resolution and coordination to identifying/resolving gaps across information sourced for Model, EUCT, Key Performance Metrics and Portfolio Insight.
- Credit and risk management project support – engage in credit related projects such as defining use cases for reporting, recommend/create new/refine existing reporting, provide data and analysis to include risk assessment and supporting development of metrics relating to SHRP activities, and support key partners to ensure LOB aligns to Enterprise and CB policy and standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and visualization skills, experience in data research and credit processes, with an understanding of risk management principles.
In this role, you will:
- Advise leadership based on analysis and insight derived from data and SME engagement
- Support the development of risk measurement activities and/or metrics that monitor the intersection of risk tolerance, credit portfolio and business strategies
- Lead the strategy and resolution of high complex and unique challenges that require in-depth evaluation, vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities
- Monitor, assess, and report on asset quality, portfolio trends, and credit policy exception trends
- Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale, cross functional, or companywide strategies
- Apply line of business and subject matter expertise to serve as a consultant and resource regarding credit, credit portfolio, and risk strategies
- Engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise
- Serve as an expert advisor to leadership on issues associated with or affected by Credit Portfolio Consulting functional area
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Credit Portfolio Consulting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make informed decisions
- Strong ability to synthesize complex information and present clear, concise summaries to leadership for strategic decision making
- Strong data and analytical skills
- Foundational understanding of Risk Management principles
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting; strong understanding of database design, indexing, and performance tuning
- Skilled in designing and developing visually engaging dashboards to present data insights clearly and effectively
- Experienced in creating impactful presentations that communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand format
- Exceptional organizational skills, with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain order in fast-paced environment

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
