Position Overview
The Senior IT Manager will oversee day-to-day technology operations and support for Masterworks' 150+ person team. This role combines hands-on technical support with systems administration and vendor management. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills and a service-oriented mindset. Position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure & Security Management
- Maintain robust network infrastructure using Fortinet equipment
- Manage security stack including Crowdstrike (EDR) and Cloudflare (Zero Trust)
- Oversee backup internet connectivity and failover systems
- Implement and maintain encryption standards across all devices
- Manage VLANs and network segmentation for corporate, security, and guest access
Systems Administration
- Administer Google Workspace environment
- Manage MDM solution (Filewave) for software deployment and remote support
- Oversee asset management and inventory tracking through Fresh Service
- Maintain password management system and access control policies
- Support integration with HR systems (Rippling) for automated provisioning
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors:
- ConvergeOne (Security stack)
- Lakeshore IT (Hardware/software reseller)
- Internet service providers
- Software vendors
- Negotiate contracts and maintain service levels
- Coordinate with managed service providers
Team Leadership & Support
- Lead technical support for office and remote employee
- Manage device provisioning and configuration
- Support office technology including A/V equipment
- Coordinate with DevOps on security and infrastructure initiatives
- Partner with HR on onboarding/offboarding processes
- Create and maintain IT policies and procedures
- Manage IT budget and resource planning
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experience
- Deep expertise in:
- Network infrastructure (Fortinet preferred)
- Security systems (EDR, Zero Trust)
- MDM and device management
- Google Workspace administration
- Strong vendor management experience
- Experience managing office relocations
- Background in high growth business preferred
Technical Skills
- Network Infrastructure: Fortinet, VLANs, HA configurations
- Security: Crowdstrike, Cloudflare, encryption standards
- Systems: Google Workspace, MDM solutions, SSO implementation
- Hardware: Mac and Windows device management
- ITIL practices and service desk management
- Experience with GAM as a plus
- Certifications a plus: Network+ or Security+
- ITIL Foundation certification beneficial but not required
Success Metrics (First 90 Days)
- Complete assessment of current infrastructure and security posture
- Develop and begin implementing infrastructure improvement plan
- Establish vendor management framework and review all contracts
- Reduce time for employee onboarding by 50%
- Reduce desktop ticket resolution time by 50%
Additional Requirements
- Must work on-site in NYC
- Authorization to work in the US required
- Available for occasional evening/weekend maintenance windows

How does Masterworks think about compensation?
The compensation range for the role is $110,000-150,000 (inclusive only of base salary, and exclusive of other potential competitive benefits such as on-target commission, bonus payments, and equity). Our ranges are very broad to accommodate all types of candidates and encourage growth. Specific compensation offered to a candidate may be dependent on factors such as education, experience, qualifications, and alignment with market data. Exceptional candidates may receive salaries outside of the posted ranges.
