Job Title: Senior IT Analyst Applications - Deployment
Salary: £55,500
Location : Peterborough

The Opportunity
This role is primarily responsible for Deployment, Supplier Enablement and Catalog Support in the EAME Region for Caterpillar Indirect Procurement systems supported by the Digital Excellence Team.

  • NextGen - Coupa


Secondary Solutions:

  • Third Party Labor - IQ Navigator / Beeline
  • My Caterpillar Travel Expense (MCTE) - SAP Concur
  • Expense and Procurement Card Programs


What You Will Do

  • Be accountable for executing deployment related initiatives, which includes stakeholder management, , master data collection, testing, training, supplier enablement, catalog support, and hypercare related activities
  • Demonstrate advanced project management skills required to collect, compile, assimilate, communicate, and maintain information as required
  • Work with stakeholders in gathering requirements and providing regular report outs associated with deployment.
  • Regularly get in touch with stakeholders to resolve support issues
  • Be responsible for configuring deployment related initiatives in Guided Buy and NextGen
  • Complete documentation and change management practices should be diligently followed
  • Identify process improvement ideas by working with internal and external stakeholders and work towards implementing them


What You Have:

  • Experience: Role relevant experience within IT Systems, including database and middleware technologies, as well as experience Cloud Based ERP Deployments
  • Problem Solving: Trains others in the process of eliciting alternatives and assessing their impact. Gains agreement on the problem-solving process, risk assessment, decision points, and criteria. Orchestrates the resolution of high-impact and cross-functional problems.
  • Technology Advising: Collaborates with an extended professional technology network to help clients effectively identify, plan for and accomplish technology objectives. Leverages formal certifications in mastery of multiple areas of technology in demonstrating credibility for client consulting.
  • Application Design, Architecture: Contributes to the establishment and implementation of best practices for application design.
  • Requirements Analysis : Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
  • System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms. Demonstrates extensive experience with system and technology integration.
  • System Testing: Knowledge of system and software testing; ability to design, plan and execute system testing strategies and tactics to ensure the quality of software at all stages of the system life cycle. Advocates appropriate levels of quality by resolution of important defects. Directs the identification, investigation, reporting and follow-up with design teams for all issues raised during the testing process. Solicits and evaluates feedback from business process owners during pilot and parallel testing.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on software, application or operation. Emphasizes the business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution so that problems can be avoided in the future.


Top Candidate Will Also Have some of the following skills/experience:

  • Experience using a procurement platform - NextGen (Powered by Coupa) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Source-to-Pay business process.
  • Preferred that the incumbent is familiar with basic procurement and quality principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in Data Analytics and Reporting

  • Hybrid working opportunity - 3 days from the Peterborough facility and 2 from home.
