The Senior Inside Sales Representative proactively promotes the sale of IDT’s full portfolio of products, including custom oligonucleotide solutions across key application areas such as qPCR, CRISPR, Functional Genomics, Synthetic Biology, and Next Generation Sequencing. This role requires strategic and consistent delivery of customer support and satisfaction while managing internal stakeholders, prospecting, and driving customer consultations and partnerships within the assigned territory to achieve profit and revenue growth goals. As a senior member of the team, this role requires an in-depth understanding of the market, ability to mentor and coach other members of the sales team, and champions DBS (Danaher Business System)-driven continuous improvement.
The Senior Inside Sales Representative is part of the IDT Sales organization covering the Mid-Atlantic region and can work remotely. The ideal location of the Representative is in the Eastern or Central Standard time zone. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and manage assigned accounts strategically to deliver solutions and drive revenue growth by understanding both short-term and long-term needs/goals for optimal positioning of IDT’s products and services; in addition, prospect for new leads and prepare information for outgoing sales calls to secure new customers
- Demonstrate effective selling skills and product understanding to uncover customer needs to position an appropriate solution; Maintain and develop strategic partnerships with key customers and leverage internal resources, when necessary, to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Leverage data-driven, process-driven, and relationship-driven approaches to research, develop, and execute on an effective territory growth strategy based on the appropriate solution for each customer
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience in a Life Science related discipline or related field required OR Business degree with relevant life science industry experience OR Master’s degree in a life science field
- Previous experience in the Life Science market, preferably in a customer-oriented and/or sales environment preferred.
- 3+ years of Life Science sales experience preferred (remote or in-person) and 20% travel and quarterly customer visits.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience and Proficiency with popular CRM’s (Salesforce) preferred.
- Molecular Biology or similar lab experience

The hourly range for this role is $36.50 - $41.00 per hour. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
