OPPORTUNITY HAPPENS HERE — REALIZE YOURS 

Alongside the best and the brightest, you will regularly: 

• Responsible for network day to day issues, configuration management, and upgrades to Cisco, Palo Alto, F5 Big IP, and Juniper devices(must be proficient). 

• Provide leadership and support for network and system architecture solutions.

• Collaborate with internal Alegeus technical teams(IT Delivery Leads, Project Managers, Engineers and Functional Leads) to provide delivery of technical Leverage Agile and internal ticketing system for project management and day to day tasks.

• Responsible for the management and maintenance of Systems Infrastructure, including storage, server, networks and cloud based resources(Azure). 

• Will be expected to show leadership to and mentor less experienced engineers (training and high-level documentation creation).

• Recommend, schedule, and implement system hardware, network devices and/or software application upgrades or repairs for including Windows OS, Linux OS, Cisco iOS, PanOS.

• Configure automation solutions leveraging tools such as but not limited to shell scripting, ansible, and terraform to improve efficiency and reliability across infrastructures. 

• Responsible for stability and high availability, recoverability, and security of all system and network infrastructures.

• Monitor server environment for proactive assessment of performance and identification of potential resource bottlenecks using various monitoring tools (commercial and opensource)

• Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and preventative maintenance duties such as backup/recovery and tuning.

• Research, evaluate, and recommend technology products and services.

• Establish and maintain contact with vendors for maintenance, service, and renewals for any and all support contracts.

• Participate in the creation and maintenance of system and network administration best practices, technical standards, policies, and documentation.

• Needs to be proficient in writing and verbal skills for documentation and troubleshooting.

• On-call rotation between DCE team (every 6 weeks).

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 10-15 years of experience in systems, network administration and engineering. 

• Experience should include the following: Data center and Cloud (Azure) infrastructure environments (Physical, Network and Virtual aspects)

• Virtualization environments (VMware ESX,  Azure VMs, AWS or other technologies)

• Network Environments (Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5 BigIP, and miscellaneous router, switches, and security devices)

• Windows environment (Server OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies)

• Storage environments (Infinidat, EMC, Azure Blob/Files, Rubrik, Cisco MDS)

• Linux Environments (Redhat, Ubuntu)

• Email systems (Postfix, MS Exchange Online)

• Scripting (Powershell, Python, Perl, shell scripting and other scripting languages)

• Database Administration (MS SQL Server, Azure DB service)

• Proficient in understanding of infrastructure products and services for on premises data centers and cloud environments

• Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and various operating systems

• Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and ITIL / NIST standards

• Needs to be highly motivated and a self-starter

• Location: Hybrid; a combined 25% in our downtown Boston office or our data center in Andover, MA.
