The Role
Are you looking for a reference/research librarian role in a corporate setting? We are seeking a Senior Information Analyst who will support the research conducted by Fidelity’s investment professionals. The Senior Information Analyst will:
- Receive and respond to investment research inquiries from research analysts, portfolio managers, sector specialists, and other research roles
- Identify, access, and assess relevant qualitative and quantitative information on companies, industries, and economic topics
- Use research methodologies to organize and clean data and prepare project deliverables that address and answer the research inquiry
- Identify resources and topics that align with investment professionals’ subject interests and proactively communicate your findings
- Contribute to projects that increase the value of research and information services
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Master of Library Science/Library and Information Studies (MLS/MLIS) or you are currently completing this degree
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or a similar tool and working with datasets from disparate sources
- Demonstrated experience in business research, financial services industry research, or library reference work is preferred
- Familiar with financial markets platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Haver Analytics, or have other database expertise
- Ability to evaluate information tools and sources for trustworthiness, appropriate use, and cost
- You are resourceful and apply analytical thinking to provide solutions to sophisticated questions
- You are a self-starter who communicates effectively and balances several projects at one time
The Team
As part of the dynamic Information Services team, you will partner with our Senior Information Analysts and Lead Information Consultants to support research teams within Fidelity’s Asset Management unit. Our work helps investment professionals access the data and information they need to make recommendations to internal and external clients. We value new perspectives and excellent communication.
