STV has an immediate need in either our Charlotte, NC or Morrisville, NC offices for a Carolinas Hydraulic Leader. The successful candidate will:

Check Storm Water Management Reports and plans for roadway, transit, rail, and culvert/bridge projects.

Perform quality control for hydrologic & hydraulic studies, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports

Coordinate permitting through various water management agencies

Participate in project development meetings with clients

Mentor technical staff

Establishing working relationships and interfacing with client technical staff and project managers

Experience with green stormwater, and erosion and sediment control techniques is a plus
Responsibilities include:
-
Using hydrologic and hydraulic software such as Geopak Drainage, StormCAD, and HEC-RAS modeling to check work performed by technical staff

Developing the strategy for hydro growth and project delivery, including resource allocation and work planning for traditional and design-build projects.

Strong interpersonal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction

Candidate should possess knowledge and experience of NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and Local government design and permitting requirements
Required Skills:

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and (Civil, Biological, Agricultural, or another related discipline)

A minimum of 15+ years of experience of Water Resources and Storm Water Design Engineering - design of storm drains, culverts, storm water management, BMPs, , hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and Floodplain studies, and cost estimating

NC PE license is required
Compensation Range:
$136,843.00 - $182,457.00
