What you will do:
Under the direction of a Senior Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery and execution of HR services to employees and managers in the South West region. You will be a part of the HR business partner organization (HRBP) and will deliver and execute human resources services to leaders and teams to provide the organization with the best people talent available and position the organization as the employer of choice by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the industry. You will understand and advise the organization on organizational design and development practices. Performs a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with company policies. You will use analytical skills to draw insights from data to be a strategic partner to the business. Communicating needs proactively with the HR department and business management, you will seek to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver valuable service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Acts as an employee champion, talent strategist, and change agent.
How you will do it:

Provide Human Resources support to a large and/or remote workforce.

Work autonomously in ambiguous situations and adapt quickly to change.

Leverage the full capabilities of the HR organization, including centers of expertise (COE's), shared service centers, business HR, and compliance.

Coach and consult managers on employee relations issues such as corrective actions and performance concerns.

Presents Human Resources programs to customer groups and employees.
-
Support labor relations in both union and non-union environments.
-
Leverages reputation as a neutral and approachable HR professional to identify the best solution based on the situation.

Participate in the implementation of organizational changes and support change management processes.

Actively engage in projects/continuous improvement initiatives from design through implementation.

Identify workforce and hiring plans necessary to drive recruiting efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition.

Partner with leaders to assess current talent and develop long term talent strategies that establish required competencies and skill levels and that ultimately improve the performance of the organization.

What we look for:
Required

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent work experience.
-
Minimum of 6 years of Human Resources related experience or equivalent work experience.

Working knowledge of general HR practices and relevant labor laws.

Ability to handle high volume and complex workload.
-
Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
-
Leverage technology to view and analyze data, conduct predictive modelling, and AI to make data driven recommendations.
-
Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with continuous improvement practices.

Demonstrated ability to deliver sensitive and difficult communications to employees and leaders (e.g. corrective action, reductions-in-force, and involuntary terminations).

Recognizes potential employee relations issues in a proactive manner and either resolves the issue or escalates concerns appropriately.

Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are essential.

Able to effectively use Microsoft suite of software to conduct business duties.

Projects a sensitive and professional image on behalf of the organization.

Ability to flex style when faced with numerous and competing priorities.

Some travel may be required
Preferred
-
SPHR, PHR, SCP or CP certification.
This can be a hybrid role in Houston or remote in Texas.
