Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Golang Software Engineer who is passionate about new technologies and wants to be part of the team developing and maintaining the QAD Champion API Backend (Golang), serving the primary AI use-cases for various products within QAD. As a part of the Engineering team based in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe, this role will bring you great opportunities to work on various projects and technologies with a diverse range of teams.

The Engineering team is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying the organization's core products, focusing on efficiency and speed. We architect and implement comprehensive solutions, including tools and platforms, to address key business requirements. These solutions include provisioning, configuration, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), monitoring, service level agreements (SLAs), performance optimization, and system uptime. The team is committed to meticulous execution and collaborates extensively with a broad range of stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

This is a fully remote role located in Mexico City.

• Develop and enhance AI workflows in support of the various QAD applications.
• Complete delivery work committed during the sprint to achieve business goals.
• Help the business maintain a competitive edge by leveraging the latest AI technologies.
• Provide subject matter expertise during incidents to resolve customer issues quickly.
• Participate in forums to explore interests outside of the sprint work and contribute ideas to continuously improve the system.
• Commit to the team to help the team and the wider business achieve our goals.
• Write testable and maintainable code.

Qualifications

What you will need: 

• Professional degree: Optional
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

Computer skills-Must Haves:

• Snowflake architecture expertise for multi-tenant B2B applications
• Performance optimization for customer-facing data models and analytics.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex query optimization
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Go for data pipeline development
• Experience analyzing source data structures and recommending improvements
• Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on data design
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines (Airflow, dbt)
• Integration experience with Power BI, Tableau, and Sigma
• Mentoring skills for report creation using BI tools
• Data quality management for customer-facing products
• Experience with GitHub/source control and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Jenkins)
• Understanding of multi-tenant data security and governance

• Snowflake's secure data sharing capabilities
• Experience with B2B analytics platforms
• Real-time data synchronization techniques
• Data API design for programmatic access
