The Senior IOPS IT Project Manager will be responsible for delivering complex and strategic IT projects across Applications and Infrastructure for IOPS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide project management and/or business analysis support for the development and implementation of assigned IOPS IT Systems; previous experience using Microsoft Project is required.
  • Work with business owners and key stakeholders to develop project scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budgets, and timing.
  • Manage and own project delivery within budget, scope, quality and time requirements.
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately e.g. Project Charter, Project Plan and Resource Plan etc.
  • Manage day-to-day client interaction and expectations for one or more small to medium scale projects.
  • Create and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Effectively applies methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Risk & Issue identification and tracking to minimize business exposure and risk on projects.
  • Effectively manages project scope by ensuring that any changes to scope are documented and approved.
  • Create and maintains user requirements including use cases, user interface designs, supplemental requirements documents, process maps, report design and access and security requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between vendors, integrators, developers and stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are translated into design specifications and appropriate testing efforts.
  • Report on their IT project portfolio and identifies variances in project performance.
  • Follow the methodologies and standards for IT project management and implementation, which include guidelines, procedures, standards, and monitoring for organizational compliance.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of Project Management, SDLC, PM Tools and Processes, Enterprise systems ideally in a Life Sciences environment
  • Sound business acumen and client-focus
  • A proven track record of high quality, successful, on time and on budget delivery of major projects.
  • A strong understanding of Enterprise systems and IT Infrastructure is essential
  • Broad business acumen and understanding of software development processes is essential
  • Excellent Communication (Verbal and Written), analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrates the ability to think creatively and independently to solve problems and complete projects
  • Excellent customer service focus orientated
  • Ability to facilitate effective team interaction
  • Ability to work with different cross-functional stakeholders across regions is desirable
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Change Management in a cGMP environment is desirable
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed organization and ability to collaborate across geographies is desirable

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in Information Technology or related field and

  • IOPS IT Project Manager: 10+ years related experience
  • Senior IOPS IT Project Manager: 12+ years related experience
  • PMP or Prince2 certification is preferred
  • May consider experience in lieu of education; level decided upon completion of an interview process
